Smoke2Value bio-farms are designed to grow algae onfrom the CO₂ in industrial flue gas, producing biomass for products such as oils, animal and fish feed, fertilizers and sustainable aviation fuel fuel feedstocks. Algae cultivation is a long-established biotechnology for nutrition and specialty products.
Where Smoke2Value stands
- Measured results first. INNOVO’s technology partner is about to run an initial bio-farm test comprising 20 full-scale tanks. This will demonstrate process quality and production rates. A large industrial-scale bio-farm is planned nearby imminently. INNOVO’s future bio-farm plans will be based on these measured results, and on first production and proof of profitability at operating bio-farms.
- Delay to fundraising. INNOVO is delaying concluding investment for Smoke2Value bio-farms until the tests and initial production are proven.
Proven routes available now
- Capture of high-purity CO₂ for permanent geological storage, a route operating at commercial scale for decades.
- Biochar, one of the most widely delivered forms of durable carbon removal.
- Energy efficiency and clean technology, financed with external capital and paid for out of the measured benefit.
