Create and Run a Company Alongside a Multi-Billion-Dollar Corporate Partner
Founder equity, first cash from month two and a part-time start
You found and lead an INNOVO Corporate Venture: a company alongside a multi-billion-dollar corporation, your Corporate Partner. It builds partnerships between your Corporate Partner and its major customers and suppliers, finances the projects it has approved but not funded, and deploys the technologies it needs.
Your equity is the larger prize
With a $10 - $25B Corporate Partner, your holding is modeled to be worth about $48M by Year 3 and $250M by Year 12 before any sale, many times a typical private equity-backed Chief Executive’s. That Chief Executive typically holds about 3% of fully diluted shares and waits about seven years for a single exit. You receive a 5% founding award in Performance Share Units, further units for every day worked, and can sell part of your holding twice a year from Year 2, with the first modeled sale in month 15.
Your relationships open the door
The core requirement is strong relationships with Chief Operating, Commercial and/or Financial Officers at multi-billion-dollar companies. They open your Venture’s first meetings and its first revenue. There are about 1,230 companies with revenue of $10bn or more, each a potential Corporate Partner.
Cash from month two
First cash in month two, from the first Scoping fees, after about four days invested and before the Corporate Partner commits.$209,433 in the first six months for a $10 - $25B partner: $70,590 of day rate, the same in every band, and $138,843 of margin on the Corporate Partner’s fees from month five.
Why Corporate Partners say yes
The best-known customer-supplier partnerships took about three years or more to start working and committed up to about 2.5% of the corporate’s revenue, in some cases every year. Your Corporate Partner agrees the partnership and its setup fee in month 4, pays the fee by month 5, sees value from month 5 and audited value above its up-front fees by month 8. Those fees are 0.06% or less of its revenue, with about $2.8 to $3.8 of value modeled for each $1 of fees in each of its first three years. That is the case you take to the C-suite.
Eleven revenue streams
Your Venture earns Scoping fees from your first meeting, a setup fee agreed in month 4 and paid by month 5, then fees from Corporate Venture Partnerships with your Corporate Partner’s customers and suppliers, from Equipment-as-a-Service, and from Technologies and Innovation.

Start part-time
Months 1 to 3: about eight hours a week, compatible with a full-time role.Months 4 to 6: about sixteen hours a week.
Months 7 to 12: about twenty-four hours a week, when most founders make the transition.
Month 13 onward: full time.Nobody has to resign to find out whether this works. You will know by month four whether the Corporate Partner has committed, once the proposition has been tested rather than described.
How you are paid
Day rate: $1,800 a day from your first day, paid from month 2.
Margin: 10% of your Corporate Partner’s partnership and project fees in Years 1 and 2.
Salary from Year 3, benchmarked to companies of equivalent revenue.Equity: your founding award and units for every day worked, with liquidity events from Year 2.
The risks you take
Your risk is your time: if the Corporate Partner does not commit, or the Venture fails, the time invested may be lost. Equity sales depend on buyers at each liquidity event; none is guaranteed. About one in ten Corporate Entrepreneurs also choose to invest cash, in INNOVO or, once it is incorporated, in their own Venture.
