Profitable Large-Scale Global Production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel
INNOVO is setting up 24 very large Smoke2Value bio-farms in the USA and Australia to produce 1.5 million tons annually of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) at maturity. They are 7 times more profitable than solar and 11 times more profitable than wind. With an IRR of 56% and a 2.8-year payback, we will be able to profitably accelerate the construction of increasing numbers of Smoke2Value bio-farms beyond the first 24. They are to be built by three of the world’s biggest renewable energy contractors, KEPCO, Samsung and Hyundai.
We discreetly secured $16 billion of contracts after bidding from 5 oil and gas majors, like Shell, Chevron and BP. Since then, we have enhanced our technology to deliver net zero oil and gas at nil capital expenditure.
INNOVO’s first 24 Smoke2Value bio-farms are designed to produce crude algal oil sufficient to yield approximately 1.5 million tonnes of sustainable aviation fuel a year at maturity. Global SAF production in 2026 is forecast at 2.4 million tonnes, some 0.8% of aviation fuel use (IATA, June 2026). INNOVO’s program would therefore lift world SAF supply by around 60%.
A Smoke2Value bio-farm has thousands of tanks filled with algae in seawater. CO2 in industrial smoke emissions is bubbled through the tanks as well as air with its CO2. The algae grow rapidly in sunlight with photosynthesis. The algal biomass is harvested and profitably refined into crude algal oil, which is used to make sustainable aviation fuel.
