Bio-farms in the desert sunshine are being financed which are capable of farming algae in seawater to yield many profitable products including Sustainable Aviation Fuel, fish feed and animal feed.
Algae have been grown for decades to produce a wide range of profitable products but only at small scale. INNOVO is planning to build large-scale bio-farms in N. America and Australia.
A 300-acre profitable bio-farm generates $516M of revenues and $ 248M of Net Income. It has an IRR of 42% over 8 years and a payback with 4.2 years. It is 4 times more profitable than wind or solar. and It absorbs 1.1 million tonnes of CO2 pa. $324M in debt finance has already been raised for the first bio-farm. US$46M of equity investment is now available in minimum tranches of US$1M
