Desert Bio-farms Convert CO2 Into Profitable Products

Most would think that a desolate desert is the most unlikely place to reduce CO2. However, the vast amount of sunshine is the key ingredient to farm algae in seawater to yield many profitable products including Sustainable Aviation Fuel, fish feed and animal feed.

Financed through INNOVO, a 300-acre profitable bio-farm generates over $400M revenues and absorbs 1.1 million tonnes of CO2 pa. This is 270 times more CO2 than the same area of trees.

Algae have been grown for decades to produce a wide range of profitable products but only at small scale. INNOVO is building large-scale bio-farms in North America and Australia with 3rd party financing.
